Developing advanced complete robotic additive manufacturing solutions for fabrication, repair, remanufacturing, and in-situ alloy deposition of high-value metallic components. This Includes the robotic WAAM setup and Setu: A CAPP platform that connects the finished part and the robotic WAAM Setup
Collaborate With UsWe work at the intersection of robotics, welding, additive manufacturing, and computer-aided process planning. We have developed a computer-aided process planning platform called Setu, that links the actual component and the robotic WAAM systems. Setu is loaded with different patented strategies that enables fabrication of large overhang components without requirement of support structures and the turn tilt table. Moreover, Setu offers a toolpath for high deposition rate enables a layer height of 6 mm. The low heat input based toolpath helps in reducing the warpage and cold cracking of the tool steels
Aerodramus Private Limited is focused on developing deployable solutions for robotic Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), repair of damaged metallic components, and automation of metal deposition processes.
Our vision is to reduce material wastage, improve component life, and enable cost-effective repair of industrial parts using intelligent and flexible additive manufacturing systems.
We develop process, hardware, and software solutions for robotic metal additive manufacturing.
Integration of industrial robots, welding systems, wire feeders, and control frameworks for automated metallic deposition.
Repair of worn-out or damaged metallic components such as turbine blades, propellers, shafts, dies, and heavy engineering parts.
Development of multi-wire systems for in-situ alloying, composition control, and functionally graded material fabrication.
Setu is a Computer-aided process planning tools for slicing, toolpath generation, deposition planning, and robotic code generation.
Our approach combines scanning, CAD reconstruction, process planning, robotic deposition, and validation.
Damaged components are scanned to capture worn-out or missing regions.
The damaged CAD model is compared with the reference geometry to identify the repair volume.
Localized slicing and deposition paths are generated for selective repair.
The robotic WAAM system deposits material only in the required region.
The repaired component is finished, inspected, and validated for performance.
Our solutions are suitable for industries where repair, material efficiency, and reliability are critical.
Repair of naval propellers and marine components.
Repair and fabrication of high-value metallic structures.
Turbine blades, shafts, and heavy-duty components.
Robotic automation for customized metallic implant manufacturing.
Components fabricated and repaired using our robotic WAAM process.
Trusted collaborations across manufacturing, aerospace, marine, and research sectors.
We are open to collaborations, consultancy projects, sponsored research, and industrial repair applications.
